What will shock you is what people pay for new introductions of daylillies -
$200 and up!!!!
No wonder he shifted over....
The base reason is that most of Bill's orders came from walk in traffic at
his garden during bloom season. Several years ago when he sold his garden,
in what was really down town San Jose, and moved his operation out in the
boondocks, he could no longer support foot traffic (aside from being too far
away for most of his previous customers). Iris business declined and he
converted over.
It is too bad he ever moved, his garden had become so well known in the bay
area, and people returned year after year.
