Last year I ordered MAGICIAN'S MAGIC, a form of i. unguicularis, that was
listed as growing outside. I bought one and put it in a protected area that
is shady in the morning and evening but getting mid-day sun. It took off
growing immediately and has made a grassy-type clump. When the temperature
got down to 8o, I covered it with a bucket.
While I was out looking at daffodils in bloom this morning, I saw something in
the distance that was sorta violet in color and a little shorter than the
daffs. I said to myself,'What is that?' Well, it was a bloom on MM, a real
cutie pie.
Now, I know this can survive our winter, but what about the heat of summer?
Not ever having grown one of these before, do I need to do anything special
for the summer?
