Welcome Al,
Happy to hear from you. It must be neat to be able to paint Iris ( and
anything else I guess). I have never been able to do that but my wife likes
to play with it and she has a lot of fun.
Anyway we welcome you and will look forward to hearing from you.

I am an iris grower with some 35 varieties of tall bearded iris. My wife
is a watercolor artist whose "bread and butter" paintings are tall
bearded iris.
I have been cultivating iris for more than twenty-five years for this
purpose. Our blossoming period, in the San Francisco Eastbay Area, runs
over a period of about ten to twelve weeks.
I subscribed to the old Iris-L list many years ago.
