Wow..even in Idaho,the snow is gone?
I wrote to the iris-species mailing list that I. reticulata and
I. danfordiae proved to be annuals here along with the bulbous
English irises which I loved with their larger flowers and
tallish stalks. One blooming year for all three...the 2nd and
3rd year some little shoots showed which didn't reach maturity.
Then,
nothing. :-(
Some daffs last to bloom 2 -3 years but Darwin tulips are the
best and most reliable for early bloom (that is first part of
May here usually).
Ellen (15 F {-09 C} this snow-covered morning.....where is Ms.
Mann? I 'am' getting grouchy ;-)
