Re: CULT: weather & fighting freeze damage

Not to mention tornados, which seem to be drawn to iris conventions <g>

<One hard freeze at the wrong time can destroy 364 days of hard
work. Too much or too little rain can cause damage
too.>

I am exhausted from dragging fabric tobacco bed covers over as many iris
rows as I could, anchoring them with rocks and boards, going back and
re-anchoring them with more rocks & boards after the wind blew them
loose, all for a freeze tonight that may or may not get cold enough to
knock out bloom for the year.

This isn't worth it!! Remind me of that next month when I'm enjoying
wasting megahours attempting pollination with a 5% success rate....

Arrrgghhh! Are we all having fun? What a stupid hobby....
