SPEC: Iris albicans

     Iris albicans has many buds getting ready to bloom here.  While I know 
that now is not the time, but when is the best time to divide this species?  
Would shortly after bloom be better, or should I wait till fall?  
    One thing to note is that I grow the plants in pots filled with potting 
mix, not in the sandy soil.
