Of course this depends on the wording of the legislation, but pretty much
everything we raise and grow is genetically altered.

That is what selective breeding does, it selects for the traits (often
mutations) that we want to keep, and breeds them into the "populations" of
plants and animals we use.  That is true of nearly all, if not all crops
and animals we raise, and if you think about it, it is probably true of all
people as well (though it may be less consciously done in this last case).

Does this mean I can't grow "super sweet" corn or have a Fantail Guppy?
