Just got off the phone after <trying> to get a certificate of insurance
for our upcoming show and the woman refused to take the information
saying I had to give them the 'home address' of the insured, i.e., the
American Iris Society, to verify that it is a valid request for a
certificate. I explained that I was a member, therefore I am one of the
'insured' (as spelled out in the Jan Bulletin article), but she refused
to accept that as valid.
I tried a few addresses listed in the Bulletin - the business address,
the bulletin address, nothing seemed to help and she was NOT willing to
offer any assistance whatsoever. She basically told me to go away and
find some way to prove to her than I have the authority to represent the
'insured' on the phone.
Extremely aggravating - what do I do now? What is the magic address
they want?
