Mike, I think they will be here in Maryland.  And I certainly do remember the 
deafening noise during their time in residence - it was awful !  and they did 
a great deal of damage to my dogwoods, so that the limbs of the trees died 
off over the years, no matter what I did to  preserve them, eventually the 
remnants of the trees had to be replaced.  I'm not happy to  have my trees that are 
doing so well go thru that this time!  I don't remember any damage to irises, 
so guess we should be thankful for that, at least!  Rosalie nr Baltimore, USA 
  zone 7 still vacillating between winter and summer with an icy wind .
