In cases where a hybridizer wishes to transfer a registered cultivar name from one unintroduced seedling to another, he or she is required to stipulate that all stock of the first seedling has been destroyed. Since the 1973 Williamson PRINCE CHARMING was never introduced and the transfer of the name to the Williamson PC 2 in 1988 was approved, presumably this is what took place.
