Linda:
I don't know about "rot-proof", but I see a lot of vigor and bloom (and at
least low incidence of rot) on
Stingray (lotsa' rebloom, but the form is poor and I guess you don't like the
minimal horns)
Society Page & Valentine's Day (uncommonly rot-resistant pinks)
Stage Lights (uncommonly rot-resistant luminata)
Success Story (shorter, maybe shoulda' been a BB, bright)
Probably more, but these come to mind.
Louisianas are definitely easy, vigorous, and rot-resistant.

No, that's not one I've tried before, & don't plan to because I dislike
the "space age" appendaged irises. They just don't appeal to me, & I
didn't think to ask if she was interested in them, or medians for that
matter. Just assumed she was interested in TBs <g>
Anybody have any other "rot proof" post-WWII irises comparable to
JESSE'S SONG in bloom production and vigor to recommend to this lady in
the NC piedmont other than the ones I mentioned in my earlier post?
Your Texas note reminded me that I left WHERE THERE'S SMOKE off that
previous list.
To the lady who asked, are you interested in other types of irises than
traditional tall bearded? Maybe SA (space age) or medians (the short
ones) or maybe Louisianas?
<Linda, have you tried "Masterwork", I have never seen an iris grow as
well as this one does for me,
and reblooms reliably too. Pat in Dallas>
