rebloomers you've had success
My main suggestion for rebloom enthusiasts is to sign up with the rebloom
society. My reason for this suggestion is the rebloom reports that are
published in the Recorder (2 issues per year.) (link is under my name)
The list below is from the Fall 2004 and is included in a report from
Leonard and Kathie Jedlicka. They report rebloom July thru Sept. They live in
Alliance Nebraska (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and report they are in zone
4b. They report their freeze free dates as approximately May 15 to Sept. 15.
Here is what they reported as reblooming in August. (they also reported
both July and Sept but my fingers are tired)
Anxious, Bab El Mandeb, Blazing Sunrise, Cameo Blush, Canary Delight,
Champagne Elegance, Diamond Blush, Double Shot, Evelyn Rose, Fond Remembrance,
Grace Thomas, Her Royal Highness, High Ho Silver, I Bless, Invitation, IO, Joan's
Pleasure, July Yellow, Lady Essex, Lake Reprise, Lilac Stitchery, Marbe
Bleu, Midsummer Night's Dream, Moby Grape, Peach Brandy, Pink Attraction,
Princess Pittypat, Pricilla Of Corinth, Pure As Gold, Perfume Counter, Rainbow
Goddess, Remember Spring, Romantic Evening, September Frost, Sign of Leo, Summer
Radiance, Total Recall, Winterland, & Wright Flyer.
Others that might rebloom there are Immortality, Feed Back, Sugar Blues,
Pink Attraction, Renown, etc. Again & Again and Over AND Over might be worth
trying.
I am not indorsing or guaranteeing any of these irises to rebloom in zone 4.
Just reporting. There are irises of all types in this list AND some I've
not heard of before.
There are important rebloom lists in most issues of the recorder. Northern
reports are important help for northern growers.
