What this shows is that different mother plants have a differenc in how the seeds germinate. This could be nucleus genetics or cytoplasmic inheritence.
To test how it is inherited you need to check the next generation, keeping track of which seedlings have which parent. If the seedlings with CS as pod parent have poorer germination then the seedlings with CS as pollen parent then you have evidence in favour of cytoplasm. If there are plants in both groups with easy and hard germination , then the evidence would be in favor of nucleus genetics.
