Thank you! Charlene. I've seen *Hocus Pocus* several times, mainly because I
dearly love Bette Midler's characterization, much as I have most others of
hers I've seen. She just feels like someone I know, and know well. It is so
frustrating when that "file drawer" won't open that has names stored in
them--both of people, films and things in general. Sometimes several hours
later it suddenly pops open and I can say the words, names or whatever, long
after it could possibly matter.
It's not Alzheimer's--although early symptoms of that disorder often have this
same defect as characteristic. I've been like this most of my life. I just
tell people "I have a sticky file drawer." They look at me rather oddly at
times, because I am so highly verbal and can ratttle on about a thing for a
very long time. Usually. Nothing like having a "walking encylopedia" as a
reputation!
