Re:TB: HYB: ?best red-bearded whites?

Got an offlist reminder not to forget NORDICA.

I thought I remembered some mention of it in the past here, and a search
of the archives turned up posts of it growing for Yuri in Moscow,
Russia, and Donald in Texas.

Yuri, are you still here? Do you still have NORDICA?

How about you, Donald?

The reason I got interested is because a fairly nice, strong growing
red-bearded white showed up in the seedling patch last spring (BEHOLD A
LADY X CELEBRATION SONG).

I'm not totally satisfied with the form, (falls are too long in relation
to width) and it has pink striations on the edges of the hafts, but I
didn't have anything interesting to cross it with. It isn't one of the
"super healthy" kids, so would prefer crossing it onto something & it
does make viable pollen - got a pod on DOCTOR ALAN ...?well, I wanted to
cross it with <something> super healthy!

Like John Reeds has experienced, FOGBOUND does not do well at all here.
Two strikes and it is now on the discard list. It may be the heat it
doesn't like.
