Re: HYB: Germinating seeds from the fall

Colleen,

Three weeks is longer than I have seen recommended- I did watch them to be sure that they weren't rotting. But the temps were near freezing in the garage, and the seeds were all firm when I potted them. I had decided to soak longer because they will have less time to leach out the germination inhibitor before the normal germination time.

It will be great if I manage to get germination this year, it will shorten the time between generations.

Three of the parents are already putting up stalks while still in the pots, so I'm optimistic they will rebloom once they are in the ground.
