CULT: seedlings

Here's a new one for me. During this morning's sprout patrol, I lifted a
held-over loaf pan to put it and its occupants in a more favored position.
There, underneath it, was another sprout about an inch tall growing in the
hard earth beneath the loaf pan! I can only figure that a seed worked its way
out of one of the very small drainage holes, OR that a seed was washed off the
top of a loaf pan sometime before these pans were set out. The cross under
which it was found has two very distinctive parents, so, if this loner
survives, it should be evident if it's from the pan it was under. I lifted it
out in a small ball of earth and gave it its own loaf pan. -- Griff
