Nematodes work, but timing & weather seem to be critical, plus they don't give 100% control.
Squishing works, but is time consuming.I've only had borers here once so far in nearly 40 years of iris growing (only 10 or 15 with a lot of irises). Squished them all! Plus I suspect this far south, with no persistent winter cold, we have natural populations of predators (nematodes?) that eat them.
