Re: HYB: carotenoid plicata genes


Chuck, do you have a theory about how that might work? Do you think there might be a linked genetic control of vein development in the developing flower bud that affects any/all pigment in the veins?

If so, would it also affect presence/distribution of those little PVC ATV QVC (obviously, I can't remember what they are called) "black" anthocyanin granules?

<They all are examples that show that cartenoid pigments can be also distributed via plicata genes.>
