I've used Miracle gro fertilizer on seedlings in pots for several years with no noticeable problem, but my breeding lines are intended not to care about too much nitrogen or water. I use the kind with trace elements.

Less experience with store bought irises, tho I did use it on last year's survivors in pots after bloom season. No noticeable adverse effect.

And I've used it on individual clumps of strong cultivars here with no adverse effect.

Maybe Walter will send you a note - seems like he's used it, at least on seedlings in beds.

<FERTILIZING:
I'd like to hear reports on fertilizing with Miracle Grow in the garden.? If you've used it, what results have you seen with the plants?? Good, bad, or undetermined?? Betty W. Bridge In Time Irises KY Zone 6>
