Re: TB:HYB:Sprouts!

Christian,

Forsythia have been in full bloom here for a week or more.? My daffodil, Curly, is in full bloom and so are some of the later ones.? All of the white trees (Bartlett Pears, maybe?) were in bloom last week when I was in town.?

We are still over a month from our last average freeze of spring.? Just don't see how we can get past it.? I usually spot my first stalks approximately April 1.? Guess I'd better start checking.?

Betty,

I think you're right... early this year. I expect first bloom around
Apr 20. Last year first cross was May 9-- likely only a historic blooming
before that if at all. I haven't seen any forsythia yet, but I have seen
daffodils.

Wacky.

Christian

Hi All,

On the
15th I found 2 sprouts in the seedling pots!? Two different crosses!? Spring
is HERE and I'm worried!? This is among the earliest dates I've seen sprouts.?
I'm not worried for the seedlings.? I had nearly 100% survival in the 2007
melt down.? I am concerned for bloom season.?
