Charles: I was wondering if you are looking for so many because they are said to be the source of orris root? If so be aware that most orris root production is done with iris pallida. Several species of Iris produce this herbal tonic.

I live in the Southern California coastal region.  I wish to buy a large
number of I. germanica florentina plants or rhizomes.  I have had limited
success in identifying potential suppliers, and the one or two I have
located ask $7 or so for a single rhizome.  I would be grateful for any
recommendations for other reliable suppliers of this plant/rhizome.
