That's what I'm trying to do with pink. Getting pretty close to having pink non-reblooming seedlings that suit me, but getting back to rebloom is going to take a lot of work!
So what have you been using to reintroduce rebloom to your oranges? The only near orange rebloomer here is AUTUMN ORANGELITE. I hope I haven't lost it during the heat and drought the last two years. It was a strong one here, but soooo retro it might overwhelm any modern genes for too many generations. I may try it with one of the RENOWN X AUTUMN RIESLING kids if I get a chance. Just to see how bad it is.
<I'm of the opinion that we have to build them. At least, that is what I'm
trying to do. I'm afraid it's a very long process. Outcross/select/cross/select/ . . . could be never ending. I'm using orange irises that grow well here. Have that one seedling that has tried to fall bloom a couple of times for me. Almost make it in 2008. Betty W.> Rats. Hopefully temporary. <Linda . . . I've had another bounced email.> Linda Mann east TN --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE IRIS
