It eventually succumbed here in the vale, but did well in a pot for a few years and developing stalks had good freeze tolerance here too. Some plants just are like that.
Thanks for the details, Mike.<with the exception of Return To Bayberry which seems to be able to stop stalk development after hard freeze and restart after about two weeks of 28+ degrees of lows. Trying to figure that one out but can't. I believe Jean Plank has had similar experiences with RTB.
