Paul,
We also use fluazifop for grass control but purchase it under the
trade name
fusilade. It works wonderfully for us on most of our
grasses, especially the
bermuda grass. We have sprayed it over the iris for
years with no ill effects.
Have you tried Cleary's 3336 WP for a
fungicide? We have had great luck
with it. Our local ag chemical dealer had
it in stock, so I didn't have to
order it over the internet and it is much
less expensive than Heritage.
I'm also going to try the herbicide
Stinger (clopyralid) this year. I have
heard some good things about it and
purchased it last year but never got around
to trying it. This is another
one you're supposed to be able to spray right
over the iris with no bad
effects.

The third
herbicide is Ornamec (fluazifop) which is an annual grass killer. I
got it
off of eBay. It requires an oil-based surfactant. You can also purchase
already containing a surfactant. I tried it with salad oil plus some dish
soap
to cut the oil some. It took a while and I needed a second application
a couple
of weeks later. Helpful since it would not be wise to apply oil to
your Iris
foliage. But the weeds were hurting and were not chocking out my
Iris. It also
seems to work better as the weather warms up and there is less
rain which
stresses the weeds. I completley drenched one Iris plant I
planned to discard
to see if there was any effect. It seemed fine and
bloomed.
