This information was just received at the AIS Library from the ASI International. THE BIDDING PROCESS FOR THE GENUS IRIS Bids may be made in person, at the 2012 AIS Convention, in Ontario, California. Persons who are not able to attend the meeting may bid electronically. Send E-Bids to : <genusiris>@cox.net> Minimum bid: $740.00. Bid increases must be in $10.00 increments. Electronic bidding will begin 3/15/2012 and end Thursday, April 19,2012 at 9:50 pm Pacific Daylight time. All electronic bidders will be notified, by weekly e-mail, of the high bid. The notice will be sent each Thursday, at 9:00 pm Central Daylight time, from 3/21/2012 through 4/12/2012. Bid updates will be sent ,by e-mail, at 10.00 pm Pacific Daylight Time, on 4/17/2012 and 4/18/2012. On 4/19/2012 the e-bidders will be updated as the bid increases. (Or at 7:20 pm and as the bid increases from 9:30 pm, PDT, until 9:50 PDT.) The successful bidder will need a PAY-PAL Account to pay the Aril Society International. The successful bidder will take possession of the book, when the Silent Auction closes, 4/19/2012. If the book is purchased by an e-bidder, they may have a person attending take possession, or send instructions for mailing the Dykes Monograph.
