OGB+ in NY?

In response to Kathryn Mohr's question about the prospects of survival of OGB+
type iris in NY:

One of the first tetraploid OGB+ varieties, Israeli Rose, was hybridized in New
York -- so I think it's reasonable to expect that others of similar heritage
(aril parent is a regelia or regeliocyclus) will thrive there.
Lu's catalog does list a number of these two types: Big Black Bumblebee,
Desert Fire, Radiant Smile, Sky Signal, Summer Set, Things to Come, Twilight
Dancer, Warrior Chief, and Whirlwind Romance.

There are also quite a few varieties with complex pedigrees that tend not to go
fully summer-dormant, even in southern New Mexico. These might also prove more
resistant to humidity. I spotted two of these in Lu's list: Bronze Falcon and
Engraved Invitation.

I'm certainly not suggesting that you avoid the other OGB+ varieties listed -- I
just went through her catalog and picked out the ones I thought would be the
best candidates.
