Danfordiae & reticulata

Greetings everyone...beautiful spring day in the Siskiyou Mtns. My little
iris danfordiae and reticulata are blooming, and the snow is gone(at least
for now) and I can see the flowers.
If I plant my siberian Iris under our tall (125' to 190') ponderosa pines
will that be too much acid soil for them? The Iris will get early morning
sun, then mid-afternoon sun. I am working on a sun to shade border. Can I
also put some of the Iris ensata there? The soil is loose and full of
compost. Thanks for the help...Cynthia...Macdoel...Calif. zones 6&7..
