LOWELL, YOU MIGHT TRY HAGER'S SUNNY SHOULDERS. IT HAS DONE AS WELL
OR BETTER THAN TOTAL RECALL. ALSO DR. ZUBRIGG'S "CLARENCE" I KNOW
YOU ARE A BIT COOLER THAN HERE IN TEXAS, BUT THEY HAVE PROVEN TO DO
WELL ABOVE ALL THE REST
My reply:
I do grow both of those cultivars. SUNNY SHOULDERS is a beautiful flower and
has grown well here in Colorado, but it has never attempted rebloom.
CLARENCE is also attractive and grows well. Each of the year it has started
bloomstalks that were aborted by our early frost.
We have a very short growing season which doesn't seem to have much adverse
effect on "oncers", but tends to nip the fall-blooming rebloomers. The
rebloomers that start in July, such as TOTAL RECALL and CHAMPAGNE ELEGANCE
are the ones that work here.
I'm working up a full report on Colorado rebloomers that I hope to post
within a few days.
