The first supplement of Deno's work Seed Germination Theory and Practice is
available from the author for $15 postpaid anywhere in the World; personal
cheques must be drawn on a U.S. bank or affiliate:
Norman C. Deno
139 Lenor Drive
State College, PA 16801 U.S.A.
Of interest to this group is a Chapter on Aril Iris "a troublesome group
with a new twist". I have not yet seen this supplement since I ordered it
only a short time ago. Some people feel that Deno's work is too technical
for beginners. While it is true that the work contains a massive amount of
information, I do not agree with this because he does explain things in
non-technical language and he summarizes concepts very well. He also notes
in the primary work those sections which are more technical and may be skipped.
I am assuming that the primary work is still available from the author at
the above address for $20. postpaid. It covers several diverse species of
Iris and everything else from perennials and shrubs to alpines.
Happy growing, Louise
