Chris, I'd like to know exactly how you organize the parentage/genealogy
information in your current database. Is it two fields (pod and pollen
parent), each with the unique ID # for that iris, or is it a more
complex data structure? Can one search the parentages recursively,
for example to find all descendants of Snow Flurry, in all generations?
The parentage information, I think, is the most subtle programming or
DB design challenge. I'm curious how you approach it.
