I don't know of any medians with variegated foliage, but suggest writing Alan
Ensminger. Also, Gary Meli in NY is working on this breeding objective. If
she doesn't care whether it has a beard or not, there is a form of Iris
tectorum that has variegated foliage. I used to have it but no longer.
Perhaps someone else could suggest a source. Iris tectorum is a wonderful
landscape plant, and anyone who saw John Pierces plantings at the AIS
