This iris does well here in the relatively dry shade (but not deep shade).
At the Berry Botanic Garden there are both blue and yellow flowered forms. I
also have some "youngsters" from the SIGNA seed exchange that have not
bloomed yet. These are from a form with extra bright red seeds. My own big
mature clump has soft citron yellow bloom (Citrina?) with delicate brown
streaks in it. Besides the cheerful seed pods that last all winter, another
of its virtues is its robust disease resistant nature. Wonderful candidate
for hybridizing! I will be sure to save the seeds if you would like some. We
will beat Clarence to the next million $$!
