Hello everyone:
I'm doing a feature article for our local daily newspaper on naming
plants...and I mention that "the International Code of Nomenclature for
Cultivated Plants is administered by the International Bureau for Plant
Taxonomy and Nomenclature, based in Utrecht, the Netherlands." Am I
correct on this? My source on this, WYMAN'S GARDENING ENCYCLOPEDIA, is
getting a bit dated now.
Second, is the American Iris Society the responsible INTERNATIONAL body for
registering irises?
Neither of these points is central to my article, but I want to be accurate
regardless. Any comments and/or corrections will be appreciated.
