transplanting time

Hi.  I am new to this list.  I am also from New Mexico, seem to see lots of
postings from there.  I brought lots of my irises from there to here in East
Texas.  Now I have moved again, and want to know:

should I wait till after they bloom, in the next month, or transplant them
NOW before they bloom?  We are renting out the last house so I still can do
it when ever.  The new house has much more room for MUCH MORE FLOWERS!!
