In the summer, as a rot preventative, I often times use a 10% bleach
solution on my bearded iris...portulaca is what I grow as a companion
plant with my iris and they seem to take the bleach solution pretty well
without having problems. Do you know of any other plants that can
tolerate the bleach treatment?
P.S. thanks for the info on the calf replacement powder..think I'll skip
that one!
