Ellen,
I'm going to the MASS Medley, can hardly wait. I've given up on modern TB's
until my kids are a little older. My soil is just too poor to grow them
without major amending every couple years. I grow historics, medians, and
just got into dwarfs. In new sdb's, Opal Wings(Hager 93) has done well for
me, had 9 increases last summer. I wasn't bowled over by the flower, but will
give it another year to convince me to keep it. Tasco's Beach Baby was
another little weed, and I'm looking forward to seeing it bloom this year. An
older MTB, Grandpa's Girl earned a permanent place in my tiny yard by forming
a whole clump and blooming its first season, and Bumblebee Deelite, its first
year in my garden was too perfect to cut and enter in our show. I couldn't
part with it. Come See, an IB, is my current favorite in that class. I think
I'm losing Bottled Sunshine (Nichols 95) to Botrytis, it has that gray look
to its foliage. I got lots of new Miller and Willot iris last year, and one
very special new MTB. Will enjoy exchanging notes with you on non-TBs.
