Pollen Viability

If you use a colored toothpick to scrape some pollen off the donor anther and
transfer it to the stigmatic lip, it's much easier to see what you're doing and
use the right amount of pollen for the cross.  Toothpicks are a lot cheaper than
brushes, so you can use a fresh toothpick for each variety and not have to worry
about cleaning brushes between crosses.

BTW, I was referring to HIGHER humidity by New Mexico standards -- not HIGH
humidity by Tennesee standards.  I'm sure you can get too much of a good thing!
