In my town in Mass, I paid $10 for a business license (general), and can
sell *any* thing I grow, and anything else, as long as I grow 51% of what
I sell. I learned this after a protracted conflict with neighbors who were
objecting to a garden center/nursery being in their midst. ( The previous
owner had threatened them with a piggery.) Contact Farm Bureau in your
area. Sometimes the towns do not understand the laws governing
agriculture.
