Hi Judy. Welcome aboard.
Although some do not like to use chemicals, I use Cygone 2E for bores. I
spray, beginning in early April (Ohio) using half the strength recommended on
the container. I follow this every week until early fall. To help the
chemical stick to the "fans", I throw in a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid
per gal.
Works for me!
