I sense that some us have a bad case of cabin fever, so I am sending out a
couple of items to ponder.
Deer protection:
A sure fire retardant to deer is fresh cougar urine. Collecting it can be a
challenge but we Canucks are a tough and resourceful people.
Protecting blossoms from the elements:
A story which got a big laugh at a lily convention was told by the wife of a
well know hybridizer. On his way out to go to work at the University,
realized that a hailstorm was about to start. Hedshed into the house, got an
umbrella and stood in the garden hlding the umbrella over a recently
pollenated flower while marble sized hailstones were bouncing off his bald head.
Hope this helps (faint hope)
