Re: Can any one help me find the following...

In a message dated 97-03-05 01:36:02 EST, you write:

<< JI, Rose Queen, Sayo-no-tuki >>
LeRoy---I know that Carol Warner (Draycott Gardens) has these. Draycott
address is on Tom Tadford Little's iris page list of sources. By the way,
the correct name of the second of these is SAYO-NO-TSUKI (nor really a
Japanese iris but a hybrid of I. ensata and I. pseudacorus.) Yes, I know
that it is spelled "Tuki" in the book The Japanese Iris---but Currier was
furnished an incorrect transliteration of the name from a Japanese fellow.
Believe me, if it were "Tuki" the name would be utter nonsense in Japanese,
and the iris is now registered with AIS as SAYO-NO-TSUKI. Clarence Mahan in
VA

PS if Draycott does not have it in the catalogue, write Carol and ask her for
a price---she does have it but may not list it. It is a prettey good grower
and increaser. ROSE QUEEN, of course, is near perfection.
