length of time freezing seeds (I. setosa)

Diana asked:

>Could anyone please tell me how long seeds need to stay in the

I setosa var Alaska, Artica and I hookeri seeds.

Diana,

I also got these from the SIGNA seed exchange this year. I'm
beginning to see germination in the I. hookeri (setosa var.
canadensis) but none yet on I. setosa. Mine were refrigerated (not
frozen) for about three weeks and have since gotten Sharon's *diurnal
cycling* treatment. (In and out of the refer daily.) FWIW. I use
the baggie method of germinating seeds in vermiculite and then
transplanting to small pots. I potted up these little fellers last
night.

IOW - Yours may have had enough cold already. I also like Anner's
suggestion that you simply move them outside. I'd pick a somewhat
sheltered location.
