Sorry should have mentioned that I grow tall bearded. Have several
Japanese iris. Put in a small pool last summer, fortunately it was on a
slope and the shale was crumbly and not hard to pickaxe. Hope to move
the J. Iris near the pool, but am concerned about winter drainage with
the heavy clay. Other flowers include couple dozen daylilies, a dozen
roses, peonies, mums etc.
Delighted to be aboard IRIS-l. My other hobby, amateur mineralology,
tended to get in the way of gardening, but as I am retired I have time
for both. Hve managed to pick up some pretty yard rocks.
