To all my friends on iris-L: (with apologies to Dennis - I was asleep when
this discussion erupted - remember the time difference!)
As I recall, Ian wanted to switch to digest form whilst he was away so that
an un-named person would have less mail to forward on. I guess he didn't do
this, and that person (presumably his upstart of a son) has lost his rag with
us because there is so much mail to look at, all of which is clearly of no
interest to this twit.
I woulds suggest that Ian is not going to be best pleased with his son when
he gets home and reads his postings. We should leave it to Ian to think of an
appropriate punishment (dunking in alfalfa tea?).
However, if Ian should read this post, may I make a suggestion? Buy your son
an AIS membership and give him a few irises for his own garden. Perhaps then
he might have something constructive to add to our happy and (generally)
peaceful discussion.
