What works for me on getting rid of aphids wherever they may be, is to
give them a good dousing and shoot them off with water from my garden
hose. I have a rose bush right next to my bird feeder and so I don't
use any kind of chemicals to get rid of the aphids there (and they're
there every year) - I usually don't like chemicals, anyway.
