What a good idea. It would also let you check for night invading slugs
and bugs wouldn't it. Thank you. I recopied your message here in case

USDA zone 5 where it has been snowing all week but non is sticking in my
yard except where there was a patch of ground that had snow on it
previously. North central Washington state.
