Hi everybody!
I had a thrill yesterday morning: one of this year's SIGNA seeds (Bulleyana
371) has become a plant! My first iris from seed ever! I guess some of you
will have to look way back to remember how that felt; I was elated. And the
seed next to it had a tinny nipple, which today was more like a string going
into the soil.
Those seeds were put in water on February 4, for three days, changing the
water every day. Then planted on top of the soil in a pot, in a plastic bag
open on the side, and on a table next to glass doors facing south. The sun or
bright light was on the pot almost the whole day. The soil was kept moist.
So much for Bulleyana. Now I have to go read what I'm supposed to do next. I
love it.
Cheers,
Elena
