Re: what is a robin?

Hi Diana,

The Iris-L itself is a big open e-mail. The Specialized ones will be separate
groups, entered into each member's "address book" under whatever heading the
subject is .In the present case it is Siberian Iris. This is so we can do
longer letters about the one subject without boring folks who aren't
interested in Siberians.
I'm still working out the details of it all, but by sending a letter to the
whole group, just as Iris-l does to everyone, recipients write their letters
and answers and sent them out to the entire group. It will require each
member to enter all the other member's e-mail addresses in the own "address
book"
Am I making sense so far??

I guess I'm going to have to write up a condensed version of the robin
program and circulate it here. I had no idea so many people did not
understand the robin program.
I'll get to work on this and probably post it tonight.
