CULT (HUM?): request for lightning story

Mark reports:

I have to ask, Mark. What were these plants doing before the lightning
struck? Were they struck at the same time or was this two separate
occasions? Did the lightning single them out? Was it direct strikes or were
they collateral damage (maybe the barn fell on them)?
And the most important question: Have you now installed a lightning rod? How?
